A. No, Geneva School of Boerne is an independent, Board-led, interdenominational school.

A. Yes. Geneva is accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools (SACS).

Q. Are Geneva teachers required to be certified by the state of Texas?
A. No. Geneva hires teachers who have the highest academic qualifications, exhibit a passion for teaching and love students.

STUDENT QUESTIONS


Q. Is there an age requirement for kindergarten applicants?
A. Yes.  Kindergarten applicants must be 5 years old by August 1st of the entering school year.

Q. If a child enters Geneva after grade 3, how will he catch up academically, especially in Latin?
A. Geneva offers a Summer Session in Latin and Grammar to assist new students. We also offer tutoring and/or remedial coursework for students who find any subject challenging as they transition to Geneva.

Q. Why are the students required to wear uniforms?
A. Our uniform policy is designed to foster an appreciation of the beauty of neatness and to protect students from distracting and destructive competition based on clothing. For more information about the school uniform, please refer to the Dress Codes found in our handbook titled Geneva Guide.
