Program Highlights

  • The Geneva high school (called School of Rhetoric) began in fall of 2007.  Geneva joined the Texas Association of Private and Parochial Schools (TAPPS) in fall of 2008 as a 1A school.
  • Geneva sent runners to the State Cross Country meet in the fall of 2008, the first year of varsity cross country.  Sophomore Kirsten Budde took first place in the TAPPS 1A meet.
  • In the fall of 2009, the girls’ team was State Champions in TAPPS 1A and the boys’ team was State Runner-Up.
  • In the fall of 2010, the girls’ teams repeated as State Champions in TAPPS 1A and the boys’ team repeated as State Runner-Up.
  • In the fall of 2011, the boys’ team earned the State Championship in TAPPS 1A and the girls’ team earned 4th place at state.
  • The school moved to TAPPS 2A for 2012-2013.  In the fall of 2012, the boys’ team repeated as State Champions while the girls’ team earned 8th place at state.
  • In the fall of 2013, the  boys’ team was 7th place at state and the girls’ team was 8th place at state.
  • The school moved to TAPPS 3A for 2014-2015.  In the fall of 2014, the girls’ team earned 2nd place at the TAPPS State 3A meet and the boy’s team earned 10th place.
  • In the fall of 2015, the girl’s and boys’ teams placed 8th at state.
  • Geneva cross country will compete as a TAPPS 4A school in 2016-2017.
