Program Highlights

  • The Geneva high school (called School of Rhetoric) began in fall of 2007 and joined the Texas Association of Private and Parochial Schools (TAPPS) in fall of 2008 as a 1A school..
  • Began high school football in the fall of 2008 with a JV Six-Man team.
  • Played first season of Varsity Six-Man Football in the fall of 2010. Team earned 3rd place in district and made the playoffs but lost in the first round.
  • In the fall of 2011, team was 2nd in district and lost in the area round of the playoffs.
  • Moved to TAPPS 2A for the 2012-2013 school year. In the fall of 2012, the team was district champs and made the state finals before losing.  State Runner-Up in TAPPS Six-Man.
  • In the fall of 2013, team was again district champs and made the state finals, but again finished as State Runner-Up.
  • Moved to TAPPS 3A for the 2014-2015 school year. Team was district champs in the fall of 2014 and made it back to the state finals for their third year in a row. This time, the team was victorious, earning the State Championship in TAPPS Six-Man Football.
  • Moved to Varsity Eleven-Man Football in the fall of 2015 and went undefeated while playing an independent schedule.
  • In first official year in TAPPS 11-Man football in 2016, went undefeated in Division III District 5 play earning the honor of district champion.
