Geneva School of Boerne has named its 2018 Valedictorians. For the first time, the school has joint valedictorians and no salutatorian. Seniors Anna Palermo and Austin Salter share this high honor and achievement and will speak at Geneva’s Commencement on May 26 at University United Methodist Church in San Antonio.
Anna Palermo, daughter of Sheri and Rick Palermo of Boerne, has earned Summa Cum Laude on multiple National Latin Exams, was named Summa Cum Laude and was honored with a Faculty Commendation every quarter of high school. She is also member of the National Honor Society, was the JV volleyball team captain and co-founder of two school clubs.
Austin Salter, son of Angela and Benjamin Salter of Boerne, has earned Summa Cum Laude every quarter in high school and consistently achieved honorable merit on the National Latin Exam each year. He participated in the Geneva debate and swim teams where he earned a spot at the prestigious Tournament of Champions In the Gold Division of Public Forum Debate and was named to the TAPPS Division III Second Team All-State Swim Team.
Both students are still in the midst of considering which university they will attend next fall and plan to make a decision in the coming weeks.
