    State of the School Address

    8:30-9:15 a.m.

    The all-school assembly will be held in the Multi-Purpose Building.

    The annual State of the School Assembly will feature a review of the first semester as well as a preview of exciting things planned for the second semester.  The assembly will conclude with the Jogathon awards and the announcement of the total raised from this year's Jogathon event.

    Open House

    8:15-10:00 a.m.

    The Open House will begin in the school's Multi-Purpose Building at 8:15 for coffee and refreshments and last until 10:00 a.m.

    Parents interested in learning more about Geneva School of Boerne are welcome to join us on January 18 for our last Open House of the school year.

    The Open House will begin in the school's Multi-Purpose Building at 8:15 for coffeee and refreshments. At 8:30, interested parents may attend one of the morning assemblies. After the assemblies, the Open House will feature a short presentation on the school's philosophy and history followed by a tour of the campus and visits to classrooms.

    Mars Hill Lecture

    The free Mars Hill lecture will be held in the school's Lyceum.

    Join us for our annual Mars Hill lecture. This year, the speaker is Dr. David Lyle Jeffrey from Baylor University.

    The Mars Hill lecture is sponsored by the schools of Logic and Rhetoric of the Geneva School of Boerne. The purpose of this annual lecture is to provide opportunities for the local Christian community to hear from significant thinkers and authors on topics related to the intersection of Christianity and culture.

    Past Mars Hill speakers have included Greg Koukl, Eric Metaxas and Dr Hal Poe.

    Grammar School Book Week

    The annual Grammar School Book Week takes place Jan. 21-25.

    Book Week concludes with the annual Book Character Parade on Friday, Jan. 25.  Grammar School students, teachers and parents dress as their favorite book character and join the parade into the MPB for the Book Week Assembly.

    Beauty and the Beast, Jr

    The performances will be held in the school's Mulit-Purpose Building. The Saturday, March 23 show will start at 7:00 p.m. and the Sunday, March 24 show will start at 4:00 p.m.  Tickets are available in any of the school academic offices for $6 for adults, $4 for students age five and up, and free for children under five.  Seating will be limited so buy your tickets now!

    BBposterGeneva's Rhetoric and Logic School drama programs are combining their talents to present Disney's musical Beauty and the Beast, Jr. March 23 and 24.  The play features music from the award winning animated movie.  Everyone is invited to this exciting production set in a French village.  The "tale as old as time" will feature incredible constumes, sets and the talents of Geneva's drama students.

    Flowering of the Cross Assemblies

    Logic and Rhetoric School students will have a contemplative Flowering of the Cross Assembly in the Lyceum from 8:00 to 8:25 a.m.

    Grammar School students will have their Flowering of the Cross Asssembly in the Multi-Purpose Building from 8:30 to 9:00 a.m.

    The school's annual Flowering of the Cross AssembliesIMG1151-X3 are held each year on the Thursday prior to the Easter break.  Students are invited to bring a cut flower to place upon the cross as a representation of Christ's work on the cross - transforming sinners and the penalty of death into a beautiful flowering of eternal life that comes to Christians.

    Mwangaza Choir Concert

    The Mwangaza Choir, a group of 8-12 year old children from Uganda, will perform an evening concert in the school's MPB.

    Booster Club Golf Tournament

    The tournament will be held at Cordillera Ranch's Jack Nicklaus Signature Golf Course.

    GBCGolfFlyerThe Geneva Booster Club will hold its annual golf tournament, the Geneva Cup, at Cordillera Ranch's spectacular Jack Nicklaus Signature Golf Course, ranked #4 in Texas by the Dallas Morning News.  The tournament will take the form of a four-man (or woman!) scramble. Check-in and lunch will start at noon with the tournament starting at 1:30 p.m.

    Please contact Booster Club President Danny Petrie with questions (956-237-0122) if interested in participating.  The registration deadline of April 2 has passed but space may still be #16 on the Nicklaus Signature Courseavailable.

    Geneva's Booster Club exists to support the school's competitive athletics, arts and academic programs.  Funds raised at the Golf Tournament will go toward purchasing new bleachers for the school's athletics field as well as items to support the school's arts and academic programs.

    • 9:00-9:55 a.m. - We will take parents new to the school through events planned for the year and answer questions you may have after having completed the first week of school. 
    • 10:00-10:55 a.m. - We will present to all parents important information including a brief overview of the next capital campaign to build a Grammar School campus. 
    • 11:00 a.m.-Noon - Grammar School parents will visit the Grammar School classrooms for class level meetings with the teacher and homeroom parents.  Those who wish may stay in the MPB for a presentation and discussion related to the school's Senior Trip.

    Debbie is a former Prosecuting Attorney with Harris and Bexar counties who recently developed the program Relate Right currently in use by the Bexar County Family Justice Center.

    Book Fair

    8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. (M-TH); 8:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. (Fri)

    Lobby of the Gymnasium

    Geneva School’s annual Book Fair will be held Nov. 4-8 in the lobby of the gymnasium. The Book Fair, sponsored by the Librarian Lisa Patti, will be open Monday through Thursday from 8 a.m. – 4 p.m. and Friday from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m.  

    Geneva School receives credit from Scholastic totaling 50% of sales.  These credits are used to add books and materials to the classrooms as well as the library.

    Varsity Volleyball Regional Game

    6:00-7:00 p.m.

    Flatonia, Texas

    The Geneva Varsity Volleyball team competes against Conroe Covenant Christian School this evening in the Regional round of the playoffs.  The winner moves on to the state tournament this weekend.

    Homecoming Football Game

    GSB Athletic Field

    Come cheer on the Geneva Varsity Football Team as they take on Kerrville Our Lady of the Hills in the last district game of the season and Geneva's Homecoming.  The Geneva Eagles are undefeated on the season and getting ready for the playoffs to start on Nov. 15.

    Prospective parents are welcome to join us for our Open House.  We will begin in the school's MPB watching 2nd and 4th grade students present in their Assembly followed by a brief overview of the school and a tour of the campus.

    Football Regional Playoff Game

    2:00-4:00 PM

    Hutto High School (101 F.M. 685, Hutto, Texas)

    The Geneva varsity football team has advanced to the regional round of the TAPPS state playoffs.  Our boys will take on the Huntsville Alpha Omega Lions at 2:00 PM this Saturday at Hutto High bz6a3578School.  The field is located a few miles east of Round Rock at 101 F.M. 685, Hutto, TX.  Coaches expect the game to be a tough test in which a loud and proud crowd could make a difference.  So make a day of it and support our boys in their quest for another trip to the state championship game.

    Open House

    8:15-10:30 a.m.

    Geneva's Multi-Purpose Building

    The Open House starts at 8:15 a.m. in the school’s Multi-Purpose Building.  The first 45 minutes of the Open House will be spent watching the Grammar School (grades K-5) Assembly in which our third grade students present information they have learned so far this year OR with our Logic School (grades 6-8) students in their Friday morning assembly.  After the assemblies, Open House participants will learn about Geneva’s unique Christian and classical approach and take a tour of the campus. Parents who have the time should plan for the Open House to last until 10:30 a.m.

    Rhetoric School Madrigal Dinner

    6:30-8:00 p.m.

    Geneva's Multi-Purpose Building

    The GSB Fine Arts Department will present the bi-annual RS Christmas Madrigal Dinner in the MPB.    Students in Vocal Performance, Band, Art and Guitar and Sixth Grade Vocal Music will be participating in the evening as performers and servers. 

    Tickets for this event are $15 per person.  Tickets are on sale now in the L/RAdmin Building.  Seating is limited.

    State Championship Football Game

    Bulldog Field in Zephyr, Texas

    The TAPPS Six-Man Football State Championship game between Geneva School and Covenant Dallas will take place on Saturday, Dec. 14 starting at noon in Zephyr, Texas.  This is a rematch of last year's State Championship game which Covenant won.
