Why she is at Geneva: “Through prayer and waiting upon the Lord, God has led my family to Geneva. I am so blessed and excited to be teaching His children!”
Interesting tidbit: Chris loves to camp and letterbox with her family.


5th Grade Math and Science
Education: Bachelor’s of Business Administration in Accounting from The University of North Texas
Family: Husband Josh (high school sweetheart), daughters Kaitlyn (class of 2022) and Kenzie (class of 2024)
Why she is at Geneva: One of my family’s favorite Bible verse is Proverbs 19:21 “Many are the plans in the mind of a man, but it’s the purposes of The Lord that will stand.”  My family and I give all the glory to God for He led us here to Geneva School of Boerne.  After 6 years of home schooling and traveling, having lived in Texas, Colorado and Missouri, my family and I were excited to finally settle in Boerne, and be back in our home state of TX.  We are grateful to God for how He is working in and through us here at Geneva.
Interesting tidbit: We still have half our heart in the beautiful High Country of Colorado and enjoy any kind of outdoor mountain adventure anytime we’re able to travel there.  And Go Broncos!


Education: BS Communication Sciences and Disorders University of Texas at Austin
Family: Husband Robert, son Jacob
Why she is at Geneva: “Having taught in private school and then ten years in a public school, I am so thankful for God calling me back into the Christian school setting. I am blessed to have the opportunity to serve the Lord here at Geneva.”
Interesting tidbit: Pam enjoys time with her family, whether it be traveling, serving together at church, or just hanging out. One of their favorite things is hiking in Colorado.


Education: BA Elementary Education Pensacola Christian College
Family: Husband Paul and children Nathan (Class of 2017), Andrew (Class of 2019), Julianne (Class of 2021) and Bethany (Class of 2024).
Why she is at Geneva: “Blessed with four children, my husband and I were led to Geneva to fulfill our mission as parents. It is evident that God is blessing the efforts within this community, and I am thrilled to be part of it as parent and teacher. Teaching Kindergarten students and serving their families is a joy; I’m so grateful to my Heavenly Father for the opportunity!”
Interesting tidbit: Lori enjoys experimenting with new recipes for her family and finding treasures at garage sales. As first-time expectant parents in 1999, she and Paul attended an introductory meeting to the newly formed Geneva School of Boerne. Four children, an out-of-state move, and many years later, God brought them back to Geneva in His perfect time.


1st Grade
Education: BA Liberal Arts California State University, Long Beach
Family: Husband Nathan and children Trent (Class of 2015) and Kira.
Why she is at Geneva: “After many special years teaching in Southern California and Austin, Texas, God blessed us with our son Trent. With Trent, I became a full time mommy. After eight years and two beautiful children, God has led me back to the wonderful ministry of teaching at Geneva where His presence is amazing.”
Interesting tidbit: Mynette’s first year of teaching, she had thirty-two first graders. Half of the students spoke Spanish and the other half spoke English. Although her grandfather is from Mexico, she does not speak a word of Spanish! She still smiles when she thinks about those incredible children who taught her so much and began her journey as an educator.


Math Specialist

Family: Husband Eric and sons A.J. (Class of 2023) and Nick (Class of 2026).
Why she is at Geneva: “During our first visit to Geneva, Eric and I knew this was where we wanted our children to attend. Since then, I realized God has called me here to share my passion for math in an environment where disciplined students are taught to look for the beauty in the world around them.”
Interesting tidbit: Tina loves playing volleyball, basketball, tennis, and softball.

HAYLEY FINLEY

Family: Son Finn (Class of 2030) and daughter Eden
Why she is at Geneva: “After teaching first grade at Geneva, I became a stay at home mom to be with my two children.  After five years at home, I am excited to be back in this amazing school and community.”
Interesting tidbit: Hayley loves cooking and crafting!


4th Grade Math and Science
Education: BS Kinesiology-Physical Education, The University of Texas at San Antonio, Texas certified teacher Physical Education EC-12
Family: Wife Carmel and son Redd Wilder
Why he is at Geneva: “After many years of families encouraging me to come to Geneva, I felt the Lord was very clear that now is the time. I am grateful that the heartbeat of this campus is Jesus and I am thankful to now be a part of it.”
Interesting tidbit: The first time that Marcus flew in an airplane was when he went sky diving.


2nd Grade
Education: BS Accounting Trinity University; teaching certificate
Family: Husband Marty and sons Wright (Class of 2017) and Philip (Class of 2024).
Why she is at Geneva: “I want to teach in a Christian school where academics are top priority, but everything is taught with a Biblical worldview.
Interesting tidbit: Amy was a CPA with a Big 8 accounting firm before God led her to teaching. She taught 2nd grade in San Antonio for five years.

SHAYNA GURUNG

Education: BA World Languages, Literature & Linguistics West Virginia University; Texas Teachers – Core subjects 4-8 Certification
Family: Husband Prakash
Why she is at Geneva: “In recent days, God has been leading me to trust Him in gifts and favors He’s placed on my life. This has led me to teaching, specifically, teaching 4th grade here at Geneva!”
Interesting tidbit: Shayna lived in Nepal as a missionary 2015 – 2016, met her husband there, and now together they have started a Nepali Church in San Antonio!


3rd Grade
Education: Bachelor of Science from Texas A&M
Family: Husband Chris and four sons; Corban, Esan, Teagan and Solan
Why she is at Geneva: “God drew our family to Geneva.  On our first visit to the campus I noticed how intentional, and Christ-centered the culture is.  We were looking for a school for our oldest to attend high school and God opened up the doors for myself and all four boys to be here too!.”
Interesting tidbit: Tonya and her family served as missionaries in Phayao, Thailand for eight years and has homeschooled for nine years.  She loves to travel internationally and be outdoors.


5th Grade Bible and History

Family: Husband Chip and children Chaz (Class of 2023), Colton (Class of 2025), and Carolyn (Class of 2029)
Why she is at Geneva: God clearly and fearlessly led our family to Geneva nine years ago when our oldest son started kindergarten.  We lived in central San Antonio where I was a stay-at-home mom for 13 years making the drive to Geneva daily for this AMAZING Christian and classical education that is worth every mile.  After years of volunteering, working as an art docent in the classroom and substitute teaching, He has moved our family to Boerne and me back to the classroom full-time.  I am thrilled and so blessed to be part of this incredible place we call Geneva where we can speak boldly about Christ each and every day!
Interesting tidbit: Although I went to high school with my husband, we never officially met until we were at TCU together in Ft. Worth.  After we met, he realized that he had grown up across the street from my grandparents and our grandfathers had been best friends since high school.  Obviously, God had a plan for us!  I love to stay active with exercise, gardening, traveling, cooking and spending time with my family and our Labradoodle, Maggie.


3rd-5th Grade Latin
Education: BA History and Classics Hope College
Family: Parents Louis and Donna in Houston and sister Stacey at Houston Baptist University
Why he is at Geneva: “Only God in His perfect timing could have led me to Geneva. I love the Christian and classical education model and I am blessed to be able to share my passion with young students.”
Interesting tidbit: During his senior year at Hope, Alex spent a semester abroad in Athens, Greece.


Education: AS Child Development San Antonio College
Family: Husband Mike, son Matt, and daughter Megan
Why she is at Geneva: “I love teaching young children and believe God answered the desires of my heart by placing me in a Kindergarten classroom.”
Interesting tidbit: Penny enjoys drives through the Hill Country with her husband Mike in their antique car. She also enjoys treasure hunting at yard sales. Teaching children for the past twenty plus years has been pure joy.


4th Grade Grammar and Reading

Why she is at Geneva: “I love the Christian and classical curriculum! I am excited to be a part of this community and I’m thrilled that my boys have the opportunity to receive a quality education at Geneva.”


2nd Grade

Family: Husband Derek and children Katie, Cassie, and Clay
Why she is at Geneva: “I am returning to teaching after having the opportunity to raise my family. I’m so excited about the new call God has put on my life. I’m so grateful to be able to use my gifts to the glory of God through Geneva School. I count it a huge privilege.”
Interesting tidbit: Susan was once a radio D.J. and she whistles really loudly using her pinkie fingers. She is really good at towing horse or boat trailers.

Family: Husband Cody and daughters Mazzy (Class of 2025) and baby Kinley
Why she is at Geneva: “The Lord clearly led our family to Geneva. I am thrilled and blessed to work in a school where a biblical worldview is integrated with a rigorous curriculum. I love watching my students grow and learn about God’s world.”
Interesting tidbit: As a child, Amelia loved to place her dogs in competitive dog shows.

DANIELLE PATTESON                                          

5th Grade Language Arts
Education:  BFA Studio Arts Baylor University, Teaching Certification
Family: Husband Keith and children Joshua (Class of 2026), Aben (Class of 2027) and Callie Grace (Class of 2030).
Why she is at Geneva: “I am joyfully returning to teaching as my youngest enters Grammar School at Geneva.  I count it a blessing to have the opportunity to teach classically at Geneva while connecting God to each lesson. Previously, I taught in Kindergarten and fifth grade.”
Interesting tidbit: God has given Danielle an adventurous spirit.  She’s traveled to Dominican Republic, Ecuador, Haiti, Uganda, Ethiopia, and beyond to share the love of Jesus.

Education: BS Education Baylor University
Family: Husband Shane and children Aedan (Class of 2019), Zach (Class of 2023) and Kyra (Class of 2025).
Why she is at Geneva: “God called our family to Geneva six years ago because of Geneva’s Christian and classical approach to education. Now, to serve as a teacher, I have the perfect platform to teach through Science a love for God and His creation.”
Interesting tidbit: Vanessa is a CrossFit coach.

Family: Husband Travis and sons Grant (Class of 2024) and Jake (Class of 2025).
Why she is at Geneva: “I am at Geneva because I love Jesus and I love doing kingdom work with children. I am passionate about fitness and I am excited to help them excel in the classroom.”
Interesting tidbit: Laura is a CrossFit coach and she loves Olympic lifting.

Family: Husband Gilberto and children Nicolas (Class of 2022), Samuel (Class of 2025) and Christopher (Class of 2028).
Why she is at Geneva: “We feel so blessed as a family to be part of this wonderful community. It is a privilege to share my passion for education in an environment that fosters high quality education within a Biblical worldview.”
Interesting tidbit: Melissa was a Peace Corps volunteer in Ecuador and she loves to travel.

Teaching at a school whose heart is turned toward God and His children allows me the blessing of speaking Truth into the children whose lives God has entrusted to my care.”
Interesting tidbit: Keri is a second generation homeschool and private school teacher.
