Senior Spotlight

What is the most influential book you have read besides the Bible? Why?
The book Do Hard Things helped me realize the importance of doing things you don’t necessarily want to do.

What is your favorite or funniest moment at Geneva?
My favorite/funniest moment at Geneva was when I got detention for making toilet bread (if you know you know).

What will you miss most when you leave Geneva?
I will miss my peers the most when leaving Geneva.

Who has influenced you most while at Geneva? How?
Mr. Arizpe has influenced me the most during my time here. He has always had the ability to have conversations on a deeper level than “how are you?” That is a quality in Mr. Arizpe that is something special.

What does being a Geneva student mean to you?
Being a Geneva student means thinking. It is not just knowing how to answer a question but why you are answering the question.

How would you encourage a Geneva kindergartner to persevere in school?
I would encourage a Geneva kindergartner to always try their best but not take yourself too seriously. Taking yourself too seriously will just make them a ball of stress and lead to no fun.

If you could change anything at Geneva, what would it be?
I hope the community does not become strangers to one another. I hope there are always those families who have been at Geneva since kindergarten (I wasn’t one of those. haha). It is so beneficial when you can always know what to expect from one another.
