Geneva School of Boerne high school students competed at the Texas Art Education Association Visual Arts Scholastic Event (VASE) in San Antonio on February 17. Five Geneva students earned the highest rating for their artwork including freshmen Kadence Hastings and Carlyle Harden. Sophomores Megan Luffy and Joshua Patteson each had two pieces receiving highest rating. Both of Luffy’s pieces qualified to move on to the VASE State Competition this coming April.
“It was exciting to see our students place so well in a contest of over 1600 entries,” Rhetoric School Advanced Art Instructor Cathy Lester said.
