College advising services at Geneva are designed to help students and parents make informed, mature decisions regarding course selections, work load and college applications. Geneva’s full-time College and Academic Adviser Shelly Ward considers it a privilege to help students navigate the college admissions process and to discover the gifts and abilities God has given them. Guided by our philosophy below, Shelly walks students and their parents through this process to discover which university might help to bring out the best in them.
The purpose of the College Advising office is to partner with students and their families to help identify the students’ God-given giftings and aspirations and to help match the students to the colleges that best fit their academic, career and spiritual goals. Our process is guided by scripture, with an emphasis on Psalm 139.
