What is your favorite or funniest moment at Geneva?

When I passed out in the middle of Mr. Johnson’s class and hearing about how Mr. Johnson handled it is probably the funniest thing, he apparently just froze there and had no idea what to do and Tyler had to run and get the nurse…or being quarantined with Tyler Hank Cass Ashlyn and Bailey.

Who has influenced you most while at Geneva, How?

Mrs. Greenlees has probably influenced me the most, throughout the two years of teaching me she constantly believed in me and always saw the most in me when most of the time I thought I was going to fail. She taught me that I can achieve whatever I want with hard work, time and effort! I spent the majority of high school in her classroom, and she always pushed me in the best way possible to put in the work and I truly wouldn’t be the same student without her! There were multiple times I would get defeated by making a bad grade on a test or quiz, but she would always pick me back up and help me to make the grades I wanted to make, and I can’t thank her enough for it!  She saw potential in me before I saw it in myself.

What does being a Geneva student mean to you?

Being a Geneva student means to always do my best in all things in not only school but also in life.

How would you encourage a Geneva kindergartner to persevere in school?

I would try to remind them that yes school is hard and stressful but it’s also the best time of your life! They get to learn so much and get to experience so much and that whenever times get hard just know that especially at Geneva they are surrounded by people who want them to succeed and who are there for you!

What about Geneva do you hope never changes?

I hope the atmosphere and the teachers never change. By that I mean I hope the way the teachers believe in the students never change. The way they genuinely want us to succeed and are willing to help us in whatever way they can is so refreshing and really helped me get through some of my hardest classes I thought I would never get through! Also, the way they care about us. I’ve never had teachers like I have been blessed to have at Geneva that constantly ask us how we are and remind us how loved we are all the time!
