Senior Spotlight

What is the most influential book you have read besides the Bible? Why?
One of the most influential books I have read is Silence. Reading how people willingly endured such horrific persecution made me realize how powerful the love of Christ is. It also inspired me to be as strong in my faith as the characters in the book were.

What is your favorite or funniest moment at Geneva?
My funniest memory at Geneva has to be vlogging the State golf tournament. We were all so exhausted and trying to make the best of a really tough day.

What will you miss most when you leave Geneva?
I will miss the student-teacher relationships most when I leave Geneva. The faculty truly cares for each of our well beings and is willing to pray for us anytime. They are deeply invested in both our educational and spiritual lives, making Geneva a unique place.

Who influenced you most while at Geneva? How?
Mrs. Greenlees influenced me most while at Geneva. From golf to pre-calculus, she is always consistent and strong in her love for Christ. She is selfless, kind and wants us to be the best we can be. She has also shown me how to work through tough things.

What does being a Geneva student mean to you?
Being a Geneva student means striving to honor Christ in all things, whether that be academics, sports, or how we treat people around the boardwalk. Geneva challenges its students to always love the community around us so that we may create an environment overflowing with Christ’s perfect love.

How would you encourage a Geneva kindergartner to persevere in school?
I would encourage a kindergartner to embrace every opportunity Geneva gives you and never put too much pressure on yourself. Keep the big things big and the small things small!

What about Geneva do you hope never changes?
I hope the boardwalk at Geneva never changes. Having time with friends outside every day during lunch and passing periods is such a blessing. Some of my best memories come from the boardwalk, so I hope future students will get to experience it as well. It really brings the Geneva community closer.
