Geneva School of Boerne is proud to announce that seven seniors earned recognition from the National Merit Scholarship Corporation. Brady Chandler was named National Merit Semifinalist. Samuel Crews, Sopris Ogelsby, Joshua Patteson, Mason Sutton, Jonathan Taylor and Christian Vis were named National Merit Commended Scholars. These students achieved these awards for their academic accomplishments on the 2024 Preliminary SAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test.

These students are members of the 2026 Senior Class which will be the 16th class to graduate from Geneva. This is also the 16th consecutive Senior Class at Geneva School of Boerne to have members earning National Merit recognition.

“We applaud the work of National Merit Scholarship Corporation in recognizing exceptionally talented students and encouraging the pursuit of academic excellence at all levels. We are thankful to have a rich history of National Merit scholars at Geneva and celebrate their academic accomplishments which put them among the top ranked students in the nation,” Geneva Rhetoric School Headmaster Matt Donnowitz said.

Over 1.3 million students took the PSAT last October and entered the National Merit Programs, a nationwide competition for the recognition and awards conducted by the National Merit Scholarship Corporation. Nationally, 16,000 students were named Semifinalists and 34,000 were named Commended Students.
