Geneva School of Boerne has named its 2026 Valedictorian and Co-Salutatorians. These graduating seniors will deliver addresses at the Geneva Commencement Exercises in May.

Elle Chalmers, daughter of Rob and Stacy Chalmers, has earned the distinction as Geneva’s 2026 Valedictorian. Elle has served as President of NHS, President of FCA and President of Geneva’s GENMED Club. She was a three-year member of Geneva’s Boardwalk yearbook, serving as Editor-in-Chief and Editor-of-Content, and has achieved Quill and Scroll Journalistic Honor Society membership. She also competed as a member of Geneva’s varsity volleyball and softball teams and received TAPPS Academic All-State recognition for softball. In addition to her academic and extracurricular achievements, Elle was named a National Merit Rural and Small Town Scholar by the College Board and served on Geneva’s Student Senate.

Elle has been accepted to Baylor University, Oklahoma State University and Texas A&M University. She will attend Texas A&M University in the fall for nursing.

Abigail Bussey, daughter of Stephanie and Hank Bussey of Boerne, earned the distinction as Geneva’s 2026 Co-Salutatorian. Abigail is the Executive Co-Managing Editor and the Executive Editor of Photography for the award-winning Geneva Quarterly magazine. Abigail has contributed to Geneva Quarterly for four years which has earned the Silver Crown Award. Abigail was a four-year member of Geneva’s Varsity Swim Team and received Academic All-State honors, earning individual 3rd place in State in the 200 freestyle, 5th in 100 freestyle, 7th in 100 backstroke and 6th in 100 Butterfly and placed 3rd in the 200 Free relay two years and the 200 Medley relay last year. Abigail was a member of the varsity cross country team for three years. Additionally, she participated in varsity choir which earned a TAPPS State Championship as well as earning Superior Ratings as Solo competitor, Women’s Choir competitor and Men’s and Women’s Choir Competitor. She performed in a number of musicals, is an active member of the National Honor Society and earned Headmaster’s List and Faculty Commendations all four years.

Abigail has been accepted to Texas A&M University, Baylor University and Abilene Christian University. She has decided to attend Baylor University in the fall.

Sopris Oglesby, daughter of Bill and Audrey Oglesby of Fair Oaks Ranch, earned the distinction as Geneva’s 2026 Co-Salutatorian. Sopris serves as Executive Editor and Executive Managing Editor of the award-winning Geneva Quarterly magazine. She was recognized on the Headmaster’s List Summa Cum Laude and as a Faculty Commendation Recipient. She was named PSAT National Merit Recognition Program Commended Scholar, AP Scholar and received National Rural and Small Town Recognition from College Board. Sopris was also named Regional Scholar for the Classical Learning Test. Sopris served as captain for girls varsity basketball and volleyball and received Academic All-State and 2nd Team All-District for volleyball, as well as 2nd Team All-District for basketball. Sopris served as Vice President of Communications for the National Charity League, Boerne-Fair Oaks Chapter and received the Modellette Award for her service. She is a member of the National Honor Society, Vice President of Grace Empowered Network for Medical Education (GENMED) and a Geneva Lewis House Officer for Discipleship. Sopris participated in Advanced Art, having received first and third place in TAPPS Environmental Portrait Photography as well as Honorable Mention in the Landscape/Scenic category. She published monthly articles in Greet Fair Oaks Ranch magazine as resident writer for the young achievers column.

Sopris has been accepted to Baylor University, Clemson University, Colorado State University, Montana State University, Pepperdine University, Texas A&M University, University of Utah and Samford University and is awaiting admissions decisions from several other universities. She plans to pursue a Physician Assistant Program at the institution she ultimately selects.
