Week of October 5

Highlights from this Week’s Fly By

Welcome to the Fly By with Callyanne McCrea, a glimpse into the beauty and the goodness here at Geneva School of Boerne.

Key Reminders

  • Eaglefest Sign Ups Eaglefest sign ups went live on Friday. Check the Landing for grade level booths and get excited for October 23rd.
  • Hot Lunch Hot Lunch closes this Thursday, October 8th at 11:59pm
  • Head to Heart In case you missed it, take some time to read through Head of School Leslie Moeller’s Head to Heart that went out last Thursday about the Geneva Board.
  • Fall Break And lastly, happy almost Fall break! Enjoy your long weekend this weekend and we’ll see you back here on October 14th.

Segment of the Week:

I had the honor of sitting down with two Geneva board members, Allison Peet, and Brian Donovan and I could not cut our 18 minutes together into two minutes for this segment of the week. So, instead you will hear bits and pieces of our conversation today and later this week, you will get a second Fly By text with our full 18 minute conversation. If you’re driving somewhere over Fall break I highly encourage you to listen with your kids and hear from two people who love the Lord and love Geneva. You’ll hear about the purpose of the board, be reminded of foundational mission statements, why they believe Geneva is successful, and hear a favorite board memory.

Verse of the Week:

Psalm 84, “For a day in your courts is better than a thousand elsewhere. I would rather be a doorkeeper in the house of my God than dwell in the tents of wickedness. No good thing does he withhold from those who walk uprightly. O Lord of hosts, blessed is the one who trusts in you!”
