Geneva School of Boerne high school art students earned second place overall at the TAPPS 4A State Competition held in Waco recently. Students submitted artwork in several different categories and events and participated in an on-site drawing competition. There were 26 schools competing in the 4A category this year.

Geneva art students earning awards were Braden Davis – Honorable Mention for Color Drawing; Caleb Sehlke – 6th for Seek and Sketch Black and White (in-person drawing), 4th for Seek and Sketch Color (in-person drawing); Joshua Patteson – 2nd place for Color Photography; Grace Green – 8th for Mixed Media, Trinity Cloud – 4th in Printmaking; Megan Luffy – 5th in Art History, 4th for On-Site drawing, 3rd for Seek and Sketch Black and White (in-person drawing), 7th for Black and White drawing, 6th and 8th for Communication Design, 3rd and 7th for Painting and 2nd for Senior Portfolio; and Ashley McCollough – 2nd in Art History, Honorable Mention for On-Site Drawing and 7th for Communication Design.
