Geneva School of Boerne eighth grade student Jared Bass took first place for Overall Top Student at the 2023 South American Open Dancesport Championship in Buenos Aires, Argentina, in August. He placed first in all of his 134 smooth and rhythm dance entries (except for one second place finish in the Bachata), dancing with his mother Ann Bass, as well as his junior partner and teacher.
In addition, his mother Ann finished in second place for Overall Top Student, placing mostly first and a few runner-up finishes in all her 130 dance entries.
