Geneva School of Boerne’s Fine Arts Department offers many opportunities for students to create and experience music. This year, many students thrived in fine arts and recent graduate Nicolas Siller was lauded with the TAPPS 5A Fine Arts Male Student of the Year Award.

Siller was involved in many fine arts activities during his school career at Geneva. He was named to the Region 29 Orchestra in 2018, 2020 and 2021. He earned TAPPS 5A Superior Grade 1 in Orchestra Duets in 2021 and 2022 and was named a TAPPS 5A All-State Soloist in 2021 and 2022.

He is also an accomplished vocal singer and was named to the Region 29 Mariachi Ensembles in 2020 and 2021 and was a TAPPS All-State Soloist in 2021 and 2022. He entertained hundreds of people in his leading roles in Geneva’s musicals “Fiddler on the Roof” and “Cinderella.”

Not only did Siller excel in fine arts, he was also the Valedictorian of the GSB Class of 2022, a G.K. Chesterton Finalist for the best Senior Thesis Presentation, a TAPPS 5A State Track Meet medalist in both the 1600M and 3200M events, a TAPPS 5A Cross Country State Meet medalist and was named to the All-State Academic Team in both Cross Country and Track.

“Nicolas Siller embodies all that the Geneva Portrait of a Graduate hopes to portray. He is a servant, scholar, athlete and artist. Every task that Nicolas works toward is done with excellence and grit. Our fine arts team is in total agreement that Nicolas Siller is worthy of this prestigious award,” Geneva Fine Arts Director Gradi Evans said.
