This Week in History

September 9th, 1776 – The Continental Congress officially renamed the nation from “the United Colonies” to the United States of America.

September 11th, marks the 24th year we honor and remember the lives lost, and the heroes that showed incredible courage during the attack on the United States.

Just two days later, but back in 1814, Francis Scott Key wrote the poem that became “The Star-Spangled Banner”, inspired by the Battle of Fort McHenry.

Did You Know?

The “Fly By’s” tune was created by our very own Luiz Arizpe and Daniel DeSalles.
