Key Reminders
- Hot Lunch Tomorrow is September 1st and you know what that means. Hot lunch opens for the month of October and closes on the 8th.
- Fall Adult Strings Class This one is for the parents. Have you been thinking about how you wished you would have learned to play an instrument, specifically a stringed instrument, when you were a child? Good news for you, you have a second chance. Our very own 4 time TAPPS State Champion Orchestra Director, Sarah Gachupin, is teaching an Adult strings class this Fall, and the deadline to register is this Friday, September 4. Show your kids that it’s never too late to start and see the Landing for additional details.
- Athletics Season Pass Geneva Athletics is selling Season Passes again this year. Check the Landing for prices and additional information. Geneva sports have started up and the full schedule can be found on the Athletics Website. Find a couple of games you and your family can show up to to cheer on the Eagles!
- No School Monday 9/7 And lastly, as a reminder there is no School next Monday September, 7th. Enjoy the long weekend with your family!
Segment of the Week:
7th grade Science and Bible teacher, Amanda Farrar is in her 6th year teaching at Geneva. She’s worked at museums, camps, and schools since graduating from Oklahoma Wesleyan University. As a highschooler, Mrs. Farrar was a high state Tennis Runner Up and Reserve Champion in a Dog Obedience Competition. In adulthood she has written a book called “Small Talks” to help moms share the gospel with their children, applied for the Amazing Race, loves to play sand volleyball and pickleball, loves to read and brings immense joy and fun everywhere she goes. Mrs. Farrar has three daughters at Geneva Macy class of 2033, Bailey class of 2035, and Brooke class of 2037. One of her favorite things about her job is dressing up in costumes but most importantly hanging out with students and getting to communicate to them how deeply loved they are. We love you mom!
Trivia:
According to early church tradition, which apostle traveled the furthest east, successfully spreading Christianity all the way to India starting from Jerusalem?

Verse of the Week:
Proverbs 16 says, “How much better to get wisdom than gold! To get understanding is to be chosen rather than silver. The highway of the upright turns aside from evil; whoever guards his way preserves his life.”
