Did You Know?
Did you know that since our first senior class in 2011, each graduating class has had students recognized by the national merit scholarship corporation?
This year we have 1 semi-finalist, Brady Chandler, and 6 commended, Samuel Crews, Sopris Oglesby, Joshua Patteson, Mason Sutton, Jonathan Taylor, Christian Vis, the most we’ve had in a single year.
Since 2011, we’ve had 51 students recognized. That is 7.8% of our graduates, compared to the national average of 3.3%. That is one very impressive statistic.
Fun Faculty Fact
Now, for our Faculty Fun Fact: Third grade teacher, Tonya Fikes, lived in Thailand as a missionary for 8 years and even opened a pizza restaurant. If you see Mrs. Fikes son, senior Teagan Fikes, be sure to ask him about the pizza that was named after him.
